As enterprise organizations move beyond AI experimentation and into operational deployment, one theme dominated discussions at OutSystems ONE 2026:  how to build, govern, and scale AI systems that deliver measurable business impact.

Held June 2–3 at RAI Amsterdam, OutSystems ONE 2026 brought together technology leaders, innovators, and enterprise organizations from around the world under the theme, "Where AI Meets Enterprise Impact." The event served as the global stage for several major product announcements from OutSystems, including the launch of its Agentic Systems Platform, the OutSystems Agent Experience, and expanded collaboration with AWS.

Our team at Butler Plus was among the organizations featured during the event. Ricky Rodriguez, Senior Director of Business Operations and Systems, participated in a live main-stage demonstration highlighting how Butler Plus is leveraging agentic AI to transform operational workflows across its business.

OutSystems Introduces the Agentic Systems Platform

One of the conference's biggest announcements was the introduction of the OutSystems Agentic Systems Platform, an open platform designed to help enterprises build, orchestrate, govern, and scale AI agents while maintaining visibility and control.

According to OutSystems, the platform is powered by its Enterprise Context Graph and enables organizations to connect data, systems, and AI agents across the enterprise. The goal is to help businesses move beyond isolated AI tools toward coordinated systems that can support complex operational workflows.

The announcement reflects a growing shift in the enterprise technology landscape. Organizations are increasingly looking for ways to integrate AI into core business functions while maintaining governance, managing costs, and preserving flexibility as new models and capabilities emerge.

Butler Plus Shares Its AI Journey on the Main Stage

Immediately following a live orchestration demonstration from OutSystems, Ricky Rodriguez, Senior Director of Business Operations and Systems at Butler Plus, joined OutSystems leadership on stage to discuss how the company is applying AI within its operations today.

The conversation focused on practical lessons learned while integrating AI into core business processes, as well as the importance of maintaining flexibility as AI technologies continue to evolve.

One of the central themes of Rodriguez's discussion was the need for organizations to rethink existing workflows rather than simply automate legacy processes.

"Be bold internally. Not just apply AI where we did things the old way, but reimagine how our business could operate today," Rodriguez said during the session.

He emphasized that Butler Plus has focused on applying AI at the core of the business rather than treating it as a standalone tool.

"Applying AI to the core of our business, and building off those insights, lets us reallocate our team where they're needed most," Rodriguez continued.

From Automation to Operational Intelligence

A featured example during the session was Butler Plus' Service ID review process, a nightly AI-powered review of field service data and images running through OutSystems Agent Workbench.

The process helps the organization analyze operational data at scale, providing insights that support decision-making and allow teams to focus on higher-value activities.

As organizations continue exploring enterprise AI, Butler Plus' experience reflects a broader trend emerging across industries: AI's greatest impact often comes not from replacing people, but from helping organizations allocate talent more effectively, improve visibility, and accelerate decision-making.

Why Flexibility Matters in Enterprise AI

Rodriguez also highlighted another challenge facing organizations adopting AI at scale: maintaining flexibility as technologies rapidly evolve.

While many businesses focus on immediate cost savings, Butler Plus views model flexibility as a long-term strategic advantage.

"Flexibility isn't just about saving cost. It's about preserving those savings and protecting our ability to build a smarter business," Rodriguez said.

With new models and capabilities being introduced at an unprecedented pace, organizations need architectures that allow them to adopt innovation quickly without repeatedly rebuilding underlying systems.

"It only takes one new model or one new capability to unlock a totally different way of working. We want to capture that at speed, not rebuild everything from scratch."

This perspective closely aligns with the open-platform approach announced by OutSystems during the conference and reflects the growing enterprise demand for agility, governance, and scalability in AI deployments.

Looking Ahead

As agentic AI continues to evolve, organizations across industries are evaluating how intelligent systems can improve operations, enhance decision-making, and create competitive advantages.

For Butler Plus, the opportunity lies in combining operational expertise with emerging technologies to continuously improve service delivery and business performance.

Being featured on the main stage at OutSystems ONE 2026 provided an opportunity to share that journey with a global audience while contributing to a larger industry conversation about what enterprise AI looks like in practice.
